RA Vernon is the founder, CEO and president of RA Vernon International. The corporation represents the pinnacle of his efforts over the past 25 years, grouping the best of his entrepreneurial projects to produce a company that has a strong branding and posture.

His other corporate experiences include numerous senior management and technical positions in Information Security / Risk Management, Technical Support and Applications Development for Reuters America, IBM, Barclays Capital, Lederle Laboratories, Citibank, Prodigy Services, PaineWebber, Warner Lambert and Dun & Bradstreet.

In addition to his corporate experience, RA Vernon was the first Chief Information Security Officer for the City of New York, the largest local municipality in the nation. The City represents 8+ million citizens, 350,000+ employees, a $4.5 billion IT budget and hundreds of thousands of computers. Mr. Vernon founded the Department of Investigation's Citywide Information Security Architecture, Formulation and Enforcement (CISAFE) Unit, laid out the City’s strategic security direction and was responsible for protecting the City’s technology infrastructure of networks, computers and information against hackers and intruders (both internal & external).
